Project 02 - 2025-26
A cozy aquarium shop simulator about decorating tanks, stocking shelves, and growing a small aquatic storefront.
Aqua-Deco is a single-player aquarium shop simulator inspired by games like Animal Crossing and TCG Card Shop Simulator. The game follows the player as they manage a small aquarium store: decorating showcase tanks, ordering retail stock, arranging products on shelves, and preparing the shop for visiting customers. The focus is on cozy customization, light management systems, and building out a satisfying daily shop loop over time.
I am developing Aqua-Deco as a solo prototype, owning the core loop, systems design, implementation, UI/UX, and technical art direction. Current work includes the tank decoration system, inventory-driven shelf stocking, the in-game computer shop, and early customer AI that allows visitors to enter the store, browse points of interest, and leave.

/ Overview
Aqua-Deco is a single-player aquarium shop simulator where the player decorates tanks, orders retail supplies, stocks shelves, and prepares the shop for visiting customers. Inspired by similar cozy games like Animal Crossing and simulation games like TCG Card Shop Simulator, the game focuses on cozy customization, light management, and building out a daily storefront loop.
I am developing the project as a solo prototype: designing the core systems, implementing gameplay, building the UI/UX, and shaping the technical art direction. the most notable features so far include a grid-based tank decoration, inventory-driven shelf stocking, an in-game computer shop, and early customer AI that browses the store and aquarium spaces.
Systems · UX/UI
Grid-based Item Placement
Designed and programmed grid-based placement systems for both aquarium decoration and retail shelf stocking, including item previews, rotation, inventory checks, pickup/repositioning, and invalid placement prevention.
AI · Systems
Customer AI
Implemented early customer AI that automatically visits the shop, navigates between retail and aquarium spaces, browses points of interest, and exits based on assigned visit motivations.
UI · Systems
In-Game Computer Shop
Designed and programmed an in-game online supply store where the player can purchase retail stock, with purchased items feeding directly into the shelf stocking inventory system.
